Africana Studies
Explore the experiences of people in Africa and the diaspora, and the impact of colonialism from a historical, political, social, and geographical perspective.
Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies
Examine the construction of race and ethnicity, and how they intersect with other structures of identity formation such as class, gender, sexuality, nationality, and legal status.
Genocide and Human Rights
What causes societies to gradually disintegrate and resort to mass violence? Work with leading scholars to gain a critical understanding of the various facets of genocide.
Latin American and Latinx Studies
Take courses that address the diversity of historical, cultural, and political experiences of Latin America, the relationships between Latin America and the U.S., and the growing influence of Latinx people in the U.S.
Peace and Conflict Studies
How can we transform conflicts in our society so they generate development and justice, rather than oppression and destruction? Develop skills to wage peace and mitigate conflict.
